Main causes for Hemorrhoid

Hemorrhoids are a disease of the rectum and anus. This is characterized by swelling and inflammation of veins of the rectum and anus areas. External hemorrhoids are varicosities of the veins draining the territory of the inferior rectal arteries, which are branches of the pudendal artery.
Internal hemorrhoids on the other hand, are located inside the rectum, internal hemorrhoids are usually not painful and most people are not aware that they have them; however, they may bleed when irritated.
External hemorrhoids can be very painful. Itching, which is often thought to be a symptom of external hemorrhoids, is more commonly due to skin irritation.
Constipation or diarrhea can cause increased straining during bowel movements, and they may lead to hemorrhoids.
It is also a common condition caused by constipation, which is the result of water retention in women experiencing premenstrual syndrome or menstruation. Portal hypertension can also be a cause for hemorrhoids, due to the connections between the portal vein and the vena cava which occur in the rectal wall.
Obesity and Pregnancy are also some of the common causes for hemorrhoids.
